Emma and the Window

Turns out it's not just mirrors Emma loves, it's any piece of glass that she can look through! She loves seeing a world up close and personal, plus being able to stand up by herself. It's so cute to watch!

Everyday Stuff

These days, the bug is getting into everything... She is cruising on the furniture, and "walking" around with her whenever she can get us. We have to hold her hands for balance. Thankfully, though, she is a tall bean so I don't have to bend down very much! She is learning what to do for the camera, although the flashes bother her (do we ever get over that? I don't think so, lol). She usually "reads" her books upside-down, but I think she finally understanding that there is a right way to hold books! I love the bottom picture, as well as the one with her surrounded by magazines. She loves taking everything in and on our coffee table and throwing it to the ground.
This is our every day!

I love my baby

Some people are amazed when they see that I'm married and have a baby. I know that I'm only 22. It's only been 5 years since I graduated, but life happens. The strong person is the one who can learn to bend. Flexibility is my word for the year. I have been learning that it is not all about me, and I have received the greatest love from my husband and daughter in return. This is seriously what life is about. The greatest gift is right before I go to sleep in my husband's arms and holding my little girl. That is seriously so rich.
They sometimes need your attention.
But they are so worth it.

Emma Discovers Chocolate!

Sorry it's taken me so long to put these up! These are from last week, I emailed a few of you, so this may be old hat for a few of you. They're still cute, though!

(Personality shot)

In lieu of last night's photo shoot, I decided to break out my camera and see if I could get any really good pictures of Emma. She wouldn't smile, but I like these nonetheless:

I love this face.
Ok, so she did smile. This is my favorite.
Playing with Chantilly Bear.
I love this one, too. It's like she's waving!
Let me out of here, Mommy!

What's a girl got to do to get out of her crib?

Emma Plays Dress-up!

(Or we play dress-up through her...)
What started as an innocent photo with Nana turned into a photo shoot!

Behind-the-scenes
The pretty girl in all her attire!
The sunglasses were a little too big...
So cute!
Uncle Tony teaching her how to be cool...
Look at her fingers trying to do the sign! As a parent, it's the little things you get excited over... :) Yay!

Our Trip to Universal

For Andy's four-day weekend, we took a family trip to Universal Studios. We stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific hotel. It was really nice! Except for it not having a microwave, hair dryer, and mini fridge (I thought those things were standard?)
Anyway, the really great thing about staying at a hotel on-sight is that it gave you fast passes to use. These came in handy, as it was a busy weekend. It was so hot and humid! We bought a couple of fans before we left so that was good. I wanted to make sure that Emma had enough circulation in her stroller.
The pool was really nice. Emma is getting more and more used to water. I guess it helps when the water's not green, as is the case at our apartment pools (yuck!). Nana bought her an inflatable starfish she can sit in with a canopy, very cute and useful!

Hogwarts!
Emma and I in front of the Three Broomsticks!

Not a really good family pic... but the best one of the bunch! lol
Hog's Head (which, in the park, is inside the Three Broomsticks... not in the books, though)

The third day, we went to Universal Studios. If anyone ever goes there, just stay at Islands of Adventure! There are much better, newer things to do!
This is me finally finding a man who is taller than me. lol
