Halloween

Halloween was fun! Uncle Tony drove up from Florida to visit and Auntie Alison was out visiting. Emma was a pumpkin, I was a pirate and Alison was a Japanese girl. We drove to check out a church that was having a festival, but when we figured out it was just for little kids (and, well, Emma was too little...) we decided to go to Taco Bell for a little trick or treating ourselves. (Taco Bell was giving out free black tacos... They were ok. Sonic was giving out corn dogs for 50 cents but we didn't feel like driving downtown to go get them...)

Ok, so it was a pretty non-eventful Halloween... but can you complain? We just had a baby!

Oh yes, and we made cupcakes. :) So at least I have those bragging rights.

Sleep

Seeing as how little it seems we've been getting lately (Although I know we're blessed... talking to other parents... I hear that a 4 hour block of time at night is pretty good!), I've decided to dedicate this post to sleep and all things sleep.

We watched 'Up' last night. It made me cry. The first five minutes were perhaps the saddest thing I have seen in my whole life.

I've been sick for the past 3+ plus weeks, so we went to the Urgent Care place because I don't have a primary care doctor. When we got there, it was really cool because they gave us drinks and snacks and basically whatever we wanted. I felt like a little kid, I even got a sticker! :)

They basically told me that I had bronchitis and gave me a prescription, but listening to my heart the doctor said that she could hear a "murmur."

I had to go in for a number of tests after that, all to find out that I have a leaky valve.

That's all we know for now. We couldn't get an appointment with the cardiologist until 12/22, so I guess it's just sit and wait. Hopefully, this is not a case of faulty appointment-making/laziness and is an indicator that it's not that big of a deal? I hope...

Anyway, we've been taking a lot of pictures lately, I just haven't been able to upload them because life has been so crazy. Hopefully, I will be able to upload some with this post, but if I am unable to, I think you will understand.
